J.J. (aka J.J.'s Rambo) is fast becoming the most laid back of the three. Sweetie continues to be the Alpha female ruling DeLuca but can't seem to intimidate J.J. who just ignores her. Sweetie is the most vocal but DeLuca is close behind when it comes to a barking match. J.J. just looks at them like they're nuts. J.J. visited the vet briefly today and got his right rear foot bandaged where he had a couple small lacerations. Not sure where or how he did that but the poor guy was lifting it in the air when he stood. He'll get some antibiotics for a few days too. It hasn't phased his appetite and he's actually putting on a few pounds. We recently moved some furniture from my mom's place after we lost her last month and have a sofa in the living room. Di is still sleeping in her lift chair in the sun room. The greyt ones have taken over. DeLuca totally occupies the sofa (covered with a sheet) with her head propped royally on a pillow, while Sweetie holds forth on the king bed alone, trying to stretch to cover every inch of it. J.J. has managed to create a new bed at the foot of mine from two quilts and two pillows in old shams. He rolls up and disappears in it. The two dog beds are empty in the corner of the living room. I don't know how we ever lived without them. Here's J.J. relaxing at home. and updated pics of Sweetie and DeLuca:

Thanks so much for giving JJ a chance at happiness and looking past some physical flaws. We will never truly know the terrible conditions that JJ and the others that were with him were rescued.
It is amazing how with just a little dusting that such treasures can be found. Again, thanks for being willing to look beyond the surface to find the gold that was always there. My favorite thing about greyhound rescue is seeing the enormous changes that take place with a little love and care. Greyhounds have a way of giving back so much more then they are given.
Cheers to greyhound rescue there is no other feeling like rescuing a greyhound.
